Welcome to Walmer and Kingsdown Golf Club – The Club on the Cliffs. Perched on top of the world-famous White Cliffs of Dover, with sea views from every hole, the unique location of this beautiful course delivers stunning views across the English Channel to the coast of France.
Walmer and Kingsdown is not only the closest course to Europe, separated by the world’s busiest stretch of water, but one of only a few in the world where golfers can see another country while enjoying a game.
Renowned course designer James Braid created the course around the natural landscape high up on the edge of the White Cliffs of Dover, incorporating a sharp ridge and steep valley leading into the adjoining countryside, ensuring that it maximised the panoramic views in every direction from the unique location.
The Downland course measures 6471 yards off the white tees and is eminently playable while offering fascinating challenges for all abilities in truly wonderful surroundings. The superb condition and challenges of the course, the stunning location and views plus the clubhouse facilities and catering combine to deliver a memorable experience that ensures visitors return again and again.
The Clubhouse has men’s and ladies changing rooms, equipped with showers, which open at 7.00am every day. Breakfast and hot drinks are served from 8.00am Monday to Friday and from 11am at weekends. The bar is open from 11am every day and a wide range of hot and cold food and drinks are available in the spacious and comfortable lounge throughout the day.
