Girton Golf Club celebrated 80 years in existence in November 2016 and is a successful, well-equipped and well-organised members club with excellent facilities sitting in the village of Girton on the edge of Cambridge.
It is known as a no “airs and graces” club, a real golf club, not a multi-sports profit centre. A club where you can just turn up and be pretty sure of an offer of a game from a fellow member.
Girton Golf Club is a friendly club, where anyone can join, find a welcome and become integrated as part of a family. Our Golf Club is probably best known for its friendly and relaxed atmosphere that ensures that a round of golf, no matter how tough on the day, is a pleasurable experience.
Girton Golf Club is owned and run by its members, for its members, currently numbering around 750.
The keen golfer will find that whilst the course is comparatively flat it is quite tight and represents a testing challenge of accuracy and control. It is a par 69 of 6012 yards, with two particularly challenging short holes of some 133 and 138 yards (the 4th and the 17th) and an exciting final hole which at 565 yards is one of the longer in the county.
Whether you fancy a light lunch, hot meal or simply a slice of cake and coffee, our Hospitality Manager, Steve Drage, and his team provide excellent food and service to all members and guests.
