Downfield Golf Club, set in beautiful parkland in the city of Dundee, has been described by Paul Lawrie (1999 Open Champion) as ‘one of the finest inland courses in Britain’. Combining wonderful scenery with the natural wildlife of squirrels, water fowl, buzzards and deer, Downfield offers a truly challenging and enjoyable experience to all golfers regardless of their abilities.
In 2016, Downfield was chosen as a qualifying course for the Senior Open which was played at Carnoustie. In the past, it has also played host to other prestigious events such as the Scottish PGA Open, the SPGA Masters, Scottish Amateur Championship 2014 and the UK Girls Home Internationals. It was also the venue for the 1999 and 2007 Open Qualifying stage.
When visiting our local golfing greats, St Andrews and Carnoustie, you are never more than 25 minutes from Downfield, so don’t miss out on adding this great course to your visit. It is an inland gem no visitor should miss.
The clubhouse at Downfield Golf Club caters for members and visitors, and offers the following facilities: large lounge area and well stocked bar, dining room, pool room, 19th Hole bar/television room, visitors locker room and showers with full size lockers available.
