Golf has been played at Burntisland in Fife since 1797 – historians suggest 1688! and the original club, recognised as the 10th oldest club in the world.
First surveyed by Old Tom Morris, the Dodhead parkland layout of 1896 was designed by Willie Park Jnr, twice Open champion, and updated by James Braid in 1922.
Although not long, generous fairways, lush grass & links type greens offer visitors many challenges and is fun too for golfers of all abilities!
Burntisland Golf House Club is very popular for group/society bookings, with many returning annually.
Please book early to avoid disappointment if you have a particular date in mind.
The Club is renowned for its friendly atmosphere, and promises all visiting parties a warm welcome. With it’s excellent bar and catering facilities, it is able to provide a wide variety of options for visiting groups/societies.
