Formed in 1921, Longniddry Golf Club in East Lothian the cradle of golf, is situated on the south shore of the Firth of Forth, arguably the finest stretch of golfing coastline in Scotland, 18 miles east of Edinburgh.
Longniddry is the closest seaside course to Edinburgh, comprising an unusual combination of woodland and links, with spectacular sea views from many holes.
The Professional’s Shop will provide a full range of the very latest golf equipment and apparel, along with great advice and information on new products. It’s also the only place where you can buy the comprehensive range of club-crested items, ranging from sweaters, polo shirts, caps to ball markers and golf balls.
Just a few steps out of the locker room door you are on the first tee and that the 18th green sits next to the clubhouse and in full view of the patio area, a popular spot when the weather is kind. Uniquely for a golf course the 13th green is also just 80 yards from the clubhouse perfect for with limited time or for those who find 18 holes too much.
To the east side of the clubhouse there is a practice putting green and a practice net to loosen up the muscles and fine tune your touch before heading to the first tee.
Inside the clubhouse there is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Facilities include gents and ladies changing rooms with secure lockers, showers, parking, satellite TV, dining room, lounge with well stocked bar and a spike bar. A wide selection of catering is offered from light bar snacks to a full three course meal.
